A life remembered

A Tribute to Garrett

Garrett’s Legacy

Garrett was one of those rare people who left an impression everywhere he went. He was funny, caring, smart, full of life, and had a personality all his own. He had a smile that could light up a room and a heart that was even bigger.

Garrett loved to paint and draw, but his greatest love was baseball. He had loved the game since he was just three years old. As a left-handed pitcher, he dreamed of one day making it to the big leagues. Baseball gave him something he loved, something to work toward, and memories that will last forever.

But Garrett’s legacy reaches far beyond the things he loved and the dreams he had. Even in his passing, Garrett continued to give.

Through organ, tissue and eye donation Garrett saved seven lives. Seven people were given a chance to keep living, healing and making memories with the people they love because of him. That is a gift that cannot be measured. Garrett spent his life bringing happiness to others, and even after his life was cut far too short, he continued to bring hope to people and families he would never get to meet.

That is Garrett’s legacy.

A son who was deeply loved.

A brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend who will never be forgotten.

An artist who loved to create.

A baseball player who dreamed of the big leagues.

A left-handed pitcher who found his greatest joy on the field.

And a young man whose heart continued to give even after his last breath.

Garrett was only fifteen years old, but the life he lived and the lives he changed were bigger than his years.

He will forever be my son, my baseball player, my artist, my bright light—and one of the greatest pieces of my heart. His story may have been cut short, but his legacy will never end.

Moments held forever
