A life remembered
A Tribute to John John
John B Mullins IV died at the young age of 11. He was an old soul who loved to compete and be the very best he could be at everything in which he participated. His favorite sport to play was basketball and his favorite sport to watch was football. He enjoyed playing baseball, chess, and his trumpet. His favorite subject in school was math, but he excelled in all the subjects. He was known to help out his teachers, protect his sister and look out for his friends. He was wise, caring and thoughtful beyond his years and looked forward to growing up and becoming a business man. A man that would get involved and give back to his community. Unfortunately, he was unable to experience adulthood, but was able to give back in a much more meaningful way. John saved 5 lives through organ donation and enhanced many others through tissue and cornea donation. As parents, we tried to instill the always be big theory. To be big, means to always take the high road, always consider everyone around you, know the impact of your words and actions no matter how big or small and ensure your words and actions lift up everyone around you. Little did we know, this motto defined John John. He touched more lives than we could ever have imagined in the short 11 years that he was with us here on this earth. His beautiful soul continues to shine on within each one of us as we strive to be big, just like him. Until we meet again Big Man! We love and miss you. Mom, Dad and Meira
