A life remembered

A Tribute to Roger

My father was a loving husband, devoted father of six children, and a man who spent his life giving to others. He was married for 60 years and was a proud union president for many years, always standing up for and supporting the people around him.

Dad was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors, but what people will remember most about him was his generous heart. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. If anyone needed help, all they had to do was make a phone call, and he would be there.

He was a loving, caring, and selfless father who always put his family first. During his illness, I was blessed to be able to care for him, just as I cared for my mother during her battle with lung cancer. It was an honor to be there for the two people who gave so much of their lives to us.

My father’s decision to become an organ donor was a true reflection of the man he was. Even after his passing, he wanted to continue helping others and giving the gift of life. His kindness, generosity, and love will live on through the lives he touched and the lives he helped save.

Dad, you were loved more than words can say, and your legacy of giving will never be forgotten.
